J. A. Panitz received his B.S. M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the Pennsylvania State University. He was a member of the technical staff at Sandia National Laboratories in Albuquerque, New Mexico and held professorships at the University of New Mexico in Physics, in High Technology Materials and in the School of Medicine. Dr. Panitz is currently Emeritus Professor of Physics at UNM and the CEO of High-Field Consultants, the corporation he founded in 1993 to provide consulting expertise to industry and academe.
